Location is great and pool area is really nice. We have stayed in this resort many times because of its central location. The bed was very comfortable. Couldn't sleep on the pull out couch because it was too uncomfortable. Would be great for kids though. Had plenty of towels, beach chairs, coolers, and float tubes. Thanks for your hospitality.

This was a great condo. You cannot beat the view from the balcony. There were chairs, beach towels, and two coolers for the beach. Location for this resort is perfectly located for easy access to Lahaina, Kihei, or to go into town for shopping. Would stay here again for sure!!!

This is a great place if you have been to the island before and are not looking for any kind of resort "feel". Lots of traffic noise (especially emergency vehicles), the closest ABC store is a few blocks up and across a main road, so not ideal if you are walking with children. The beach itself is gorgeous and you can walk forever, but not advisable for snorkeling, very rocky. Our unit was very clean and quaint, had beach chairs, a sand umbrella and 2 coolers. But you'll need to pick up toilet paper, paper towels, a kitchen sponge, dishwashing detergent, etc. Hardly any spices, so bring your own if you are going to be cooking. BBQ area is great, we made fish tacos, steak, pork chops and grilled eggplant and pineapple. Farmers Market next to the ABC store is the best in Kihei. This was a great location for popping onto the highway and taking off for adventures to Hana, up country and Lahaina. Highly recommend Miso Phat Sushi, they outshine all other sushi restaurants.

The Sugar Beach Resort is well-maintained and has undergone many restoration and modernization projects over the past decade and continues to be a top condo destination on Maui. Several sandy entrances are available just a short stroll north along the shore for easy swimming. We supply each guest with a starter supply of paper products and soaps that last through most bookings. However, a 4-adult occupancy over 12 days can eventually deplete some items. We do not provide condiments, but many of these items are left by past guests and remain for our future guests to use. Mahalo for booking with us!

We loved our stay at Sugar Beach in Unit 202 and would recommend it to anyone going to Maui. It is well located in Kihei and we loved having direct access to the beach. The pool and grounds are also beautiful and well maintained. Sherry was really helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had leading up to our trip and while we were there. There were also lots of amenities at the resort including an activities office to rent water equipment and also to help book different excursions that we used several times. The price was great too for the 2 weeks we stayed. Great place, highly recommend!

View from lanai is very nice, everything is clean and extremely well-maintained. In reality suite looks even more appealing then advertised. Owners very accommodating to provide extra beach accessories, late checkout (if possible), etc. Great place for the very reasonable price. Not to mention convenient location to all island attractions. The beach in front of the condo looks nice , but maybe not the best on island for the swimming. It got quite a few sharp rocks in the water, however beautiful places for swimming just stone throw away.

This small one bedroom condo was perfect for the wife and I. It is located right on the beach side. Less than a minute walk to the most fabulous stretch of beach for walking with white sand and literally nobody on the beach except for weekends. The condo boast A/C........a great bed and a lanai that looks out a the blue waters of the bay. It is a nice unit to stay in and we hope Bob and Robin invite us to stay next year. They were fair with the rates and Sherry, their property manager set everything up beautifully for us...............well done all of you!!!!!

My Husband and I stayed at Sugar beach resort from Sept 7th-Sept 30th, 2015. We couldn't be happier with our stay! The unit was everything we needed and was well kept and clean. It also came with all the supplies we needed for our beach trips! We loved the location of this resort condo. You are able to easily drive anywhere on the island. The grounds were very well kept, it seemed there was always someone working on the grounds. As well, there is a gift shop, rental and activity center and Dina's sandwich shop right on the premises. We used the pool and outside BBQ facilities often and loved watching the sunsets from the beach. Also, we loved walking down the beach to the farmers market to grab our fresh produce! This unit is over looking the gardens and to the left the ocean. We loved mornings on the lanai and spent lots of time out there. We were very happy with Sherry and Kevin and they were very easy to communicate and book with. We are sad to be home and really started to settle in there! I would recommend this condo to anyone. We did everything on Maui. Watched the sunrise from Haleakala, snorkel trips, surfing, boogie boarding, hiking, Ioa valley, farm tours, hana, the blowhole, every beach, you name it we did it! We loved loved loved Maui and staying at Sugar Beach and we hope to be back! We hope you have as amazing of a time as we did :)

Sugar beach resort was an amazing place. Our had a view of the flowering trees, the pond, the pool and the beach! Couldn't ask for anything better. Strategically placed mirror indoors let us enjoy the views of the ocean while we sat inside in the a.c. Beach chairs, umbrella, towels and beach toys made our adventures to the different beaches more enjoyable. Knowing that we would have a good washing machine helped us pack light. Beautiful clean place and a very helpful agent from whom got detailed info before booking.

We just return from a family vacation and we had this unit plus another two, purchased at different times. This time it proved once again that it is best to rent owner managed units. They care and answer when their guests have a question/issue. As for us in unit #202(this unit), the first day we notices that we do not have pool towels(only bath). We called the agency and asked, was promised a call back but never heard from them. So, we had to use bath towels at the pool. Also, FYI my sister got an ocean from room through Travelocity, nicer unit that this and better price. The resort is nice and clean, the beach is very small though and rocky in the water. The BBQ grills are nice to have although only part of them worked so you had to go in line. Location is good, close to lots of shops and restaurants. All in all, it was ok, I would come back here but I would choose an owner operated unit.

We went to maui for our nieces wedding and enjoyed every minute of our vacation. Liked the area and the condo. Staff at the resort we very friendly helpful with all our inquiries. Loved maui, and would recommend this rental and the resort to everyone.
